Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these situations. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. She hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
